What is Biology

bi·ol·o·gy n.

  1. The science of life and of living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, origin, evolution, and distribution. It includes botany and zoology and all their subdivisions.

The study of life and its changes is fascinating. Biology is one field a person can get lost in. There are so many depths to it.

One could head into botany, microbiology, marine biology or to even break it up further a scientist can spend their whole life working on just radio isotopes or the human anatomy and not even come near learning all there is to learn.

The creationist believes that changes in these environments do happen. These types of small changes are called microevolution by both creationists and evolutionists. Though many creationists would prefer to call it variation within a kind.

The study of evolutionary biology presupposes that there is a jump from microevolution to macroevolution. This is where the evolutionist crosses from science to faith.

When it comes to the origins of the universe whether you are a creationist or an evolutionist there is no way to scientifically prove what you believe.

The beginning of the universe cannot be observed therefore what you believe about it is based upon your current worldview.

If you are a humanistic evolutionist you will say that a lot of time and chance brought the universe to where it is today.

If you are a creationist you believe that God spoke the world into being.
