The term "dinosaur" originally meant "terrible lizard." These wonderful creatures attract the mind and imagination of both child and adult alike. There is a mystery and awe about them... especially in their great size. But did you know that the in actuality the average dinosaur is only the size of a sheep. Why call dinosaurs "missionary lizards?" The topic of dinosaurs comes up quite often in the media. Whether it is in the news or a new movie, when the topic of dinosaurs comes up, it gives the biblical creationist an opportunity to talk about the facts of creation and evolution. Below is one such fact you will want in your fact book.
Steven Dickinson
The names of the "ages" in which they supposedly lived (Triassic, Jurassic, etc.) reinforce the popular belief in millions of years. Why not think of dinosaurs in biblical terms? This is number three in a series of drawings that will teach the history of dinosaurs in a true biblical and historical way. The five ages are Formed, Fallen, Flood, Faded, Found. Flood c. 2500 BC As time went on, people became more wicked in their ways because of this God judged the wickedness He saw with an earth-covering flood. He brought two of every kind of land creature including dinosaurs! On board Noahs Ark, where they were safe from the storms and waves, volcanoes and earthquakes. Those air-breathing animals that were not selected to go on the Ark, perished in the great Flood. Because of all the water and mud and minerals that were mixed up during this time, the conditions were right, causing the bones of many of these animals (and also many of the sea and air creatures) to turn into the fossils that have since been found around the world.
